Frequently Asked Questions

What are some exercises I can do at home for carpal tunnel syndrome?

Some activities that may provide relief for carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms include:

  • Shaking your hands in a motion similar to when you’ve washed your hands and want to air dry them.
  • Make a fist and then fan your fingers out, stretching them until they are completely straight.
  • Sit upright with hands straight out and in line with shoulders. Face palms up, perpendicular with forearms, then flip them downwards, forming a claw. Repeat.
  • Place your forearm on the table and hold a relatively light weight in your hand. Flex wrist up and down without moving forearm off the table.
