What are some of the more common phobia types encountered in an online therapy session?
While there are many phobias that can be effectively treated in online therapy, some of the most common include a fear of public speaking, heights, crowds, germs or dirt, illness, closed spaces, and social situations. Some people find online therapy particularly helpful for phobias of social interactions (or even leaving their homes) as it allows them to access treatment from a location where they feel most comfortable. For some, anxiety symptoms can be a major obstacle when trying to get to a traditional office setting for regular therapy appointments. These people often experience inconsistent or disrupted care. In cases like this, getting treatment via online therapy can make a huge difference in your ability to get the care you really need.
