What are the different types of aphasia?
The four predominant types of aphasia include:
- Expressive aphasia – You know what you want to say, but you experience difficulty articulating your thought through writing or speech.
- Anomic aphasia – You see words or hear someone speaking without being able to make sense of what it means.
- Receptive aphasia – You have difficulty identifying the right words you want to use while speaking.
- Global aphasia – You cannot read, write, speak and comprehend speech or writing.
