What is erythrodermic psoriasis?

This is a severe type of psoriasis that leads to widespread, fiery redness over most of the body. This condition can cause severe itching, pain and the skin can come off in sheets. Erythrodermic psoriasis typically appears on people who have unstable plaque psoriasis and is rare, occurring in only 3% of people who have psoriasis during their lifetime.
